INFORMATION FOR PASSENGERSDOCUMENTS

You can receive official information about documents only in the consulate of the country you’re flying to. Passengers are responsible for the appropriate execution of their documents, observance of the laws, resolutions, rules and orders of the public authorities of the country where they are going to (passing through) or coming from. As you go on a trip, do not forget to take your international passport with the visa in it (if you fly out of Azerbaijan Republic) or your ID (within Azerbaijan Republic), your paper air ticket or e-ticket (itinerary receipt) and other documents necessary to enter / exit the country.

INFORMATION FOR PASSENGERSTRAVEL CLASS

Based on the cost of airfare passengers are served in three main travel classes: first class, business class, and economy class. This classification is accepted in most international airlines.

With the first class ticket you will enjoy the most comfortable flight. You will be offered a varied menu, limitless alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Besides, you will have a special check-in counter at the airport and in the first class waiting room you will have free alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. You will be the first to board and get off the airplane.

In business class the level of service is very high as well, there is a larger distance between seats, a varied menu including good wines – all this helps you feel comfortable during the flight.

Economy class passengers are provided with seats and meals according to European standards, including wine, juices and non-alcoholic drinks depending on take-off time, flight length and route.

INFORMATION FOR PASSENGERSORDERING SPECIAL MEALS

By offering the service of ordering special meals, airlines try not only to make every passenger feel like a guest on board the aircraft, but also to make every trip an unforgettable experience. If you have special needs you can request special meals while booking your tickets or at least 24 hours before your flight departure time, and the airlines will either confirm your request or report the impossibility of offering such service. Please give the information of your allergies for certain products beforehand.

INFORMATION FOR PASSENGERSCHOSSING SEATS IN THE AIRPLANE

Flight is a tiring experience, and a wise choice of seat is not unimportant. Seats in the first class and business class cabins do not differ much. But the economy class is different. It would be ideal if you order your seat while buying your ticket. Tourist agency worker will almost surely help you in this. However some airlines do not offer the service of reserving seats in the airplanes in advance.

Choice of seat in the airplane is greatly dependant on the passenger’s preference. Some passengers like to sit by the window. Others prefer seats by the isle. Specialists say that the least rocking is in the seats near the wing and the safest seats are in the tail.

INFORMATION FOR PASSENGERSCHECK-IN FOR FLIGHT

Every airline sets its rules for the terms of beginning and ending of check-in for flight. In most cases check-in begins 2 hours before the flight departure and ends 40 minutes before the departure. Make sure to confirm these terms while issuing your ticket. In case you are late for the check-in, the airline reserve the right to act as it thinks best.

In case you are late for check-in, the further fate of your ticket will be fully dependent on the price you bought it for. In most airlines the tickets purchased for first class or business class may be rebooked for another date without paying fine. But if you bought your ticket at the cheapest or reduced price it will simply be annulled. However some airlines will allow you to rebook even such tickets. In that case you will certainly have to make an additional payment.

INFORMATION FOR PASSENGERSAIRPORT TAXES

Airport tax is a certain amount charged from the passenger by the airport, state or municipal authorities, and other organizations; the tax amount is included in the ticket. Each tax has its name and purpose, and one airport often charges a few taxes.

INFORMATION FOR PASSENGERSHOW MUCH ARE THE AIRPORT TAXES?

The tax amount depends on various factors: airlines, transit airport, stopovers, type of route and other factors. Taxes are always applied in local currency and at the time of issuance are converted into the currency of the country where the ticket is issued according to the exchange rate on the day of purchase. Therefore the exact amount of airport taxes can be identified only at the time of ticket issuance. The tax amount in some cases may reach the cost of airfare.
Transits and Transfers

It is often impossible to make a direct flight from one city to another. Sometimes stopover is needed in order to refuel the airplane. In other cases it can be necessary for the passenger to change flights and continue travelling with another flight.

Transit is when the landing is followed by further transportation with the same airlines and the same flight number.

Transfer is when the landing is followed by further transportation with a different flight number, and the airlines may be both the same and different.
